Estudios especiales enviados desde Iphone

Recuerdo que cuando se empezó a difundir en forma masiva el uso de la Telemedicina, allá por 1998-9, mucho nos preocupábamos por encontrar los estándares para poder recibir y enviar imágenes médicas, protocolos de seguridad,etc. Afortinadamente los radiólogos  desarrollaron DICOM 1,2 y 3,etc. La tecnología avanaza, me queda claro, pero y los estándares...? En verdad la pantalla de un Iphone legalmente nos permite revisar como médicos este tipo de imágenes o en casos de urgencia médica es válido utilizarlos... Clinicians at Tokyo's Jikei University Hospital now have their own iPhone application to receive tomographic scans of brain aneurysms of incoming stroke patients. Now physicians can provide professional consults on patients from the convenience of their home, and without the delay of having to first get to the hospital. Developed by Dr. Hiroyuki Takao of the hospital's neurosurgery department, the software is on its way to other hospitals with the help of commercialization partner Fujifilm Corp.
